Delete Your Account

⚠️ Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Feedings account directly from within the app:

Open the Feedings app on your device
Go to Settings
Tap on Profile
Scroll down to the Danger Zone section
Tap Delete Account
Confirm your decision

Step-by-Step:

Settings → Profile → Danger Zone → Delete Account

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

✗ Your account credentials and profile information
✗ Your saved RSS feeds and subscriptions
✗ Your feed organization and folders
✗ Your reading history and preferences
✗ All cloud backups associated with your account
✗ Your subscription status (if you have an Ad Free or Supporter subscription)

Before You Delete

✨ Delete Specific Data Instead

You don't have to delete your entire account! You can keep your account and just remove specific data:

Profile Information

Delete or change your profile picture, username, and other personal details

Settings → Profile → Edit Profile

Feeds & Subscriptions

Remove individual feeds or clear all your subscriptions

Settings → Feed Manager → Delete Feeds

Reading History

Clear your reading history and saved items

Settings → Feed Manager → Settings → Clear All Feed Data

Custom Themes

Delete themes you've uploaded to the community exchange

Theme Exchange → My Themes → Delete

Change or Cancel Subscription

Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription anytime. Changes take effect immediately - downgrades convert remaining value to extra time.

Settings → Account → Subscription → Manage

💡 Keep your account: You can delete specific data and still keep your account active. This way, you don't lose everything if you change your mind later!

💡 Other Alternatives to Account Deletion:

Export Your Feeds: Back up your feed list before making changes
Take a Break: You can simply stop using the app without deleting anything
Start Fresh: Delete your feeds and start over with new ones

Subscription Cancellation

If you have an Ad Free (£2.50/month) or Supporter (£5/month) subscription:

→ Your subscription will be automatically cancelled when you delete your account
→ You will not be charged again after deletion
→ No refunds are provided for unused subscription time
→ You can upgrade or downgrade between tiers anytime through your app store - changes take effect immediately, with downgrades converting remaining value to extra time on the new plan

Data Retention

After account deletion:

✓ Your data is deleted within 30 days
✓ We may retain minimal transaction records for legal/accounting purposes
✓ Anonymized usage statistics may be retained for service improvement
