These are the shared terms that apply across all Feedings LTD products. For app-specific terms (accounts, subscriptions, pricing), select an app above.

ℹ️ Scope

These Terms primarily govern our mobile applications. Our websites (feedings.co.uk, benchcalc.co.uk, and influenceapp.co.uk) are informational only and do not require account creation or collect personal data.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of applications and services provided by Feedings LTD (Company No. 16795680) ("we", "our", or "us").

By using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users, including anonymous users.

2. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

2.1 General Obligations

You agree to use our services in a lawful, respectful manner and in accordance with these Terms. You are solely responsible for your conduct and any content you submit, post, or share through our services.

2.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
Transmit malicious code, viruses, or any other harmful software
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, servers, or networks
Use the service to spam, harass, threaten, or abuse others
Scrape, harvest, or collect data without permission
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our applications
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services
Attempt to circumvent any security measures or access restrictions
Use automated systems (bots, scripts, crawlers) to access the service without authorisation
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation

2.3 Harmful and Illegal Content

You must not use our services to store, transmit, share, or promote:

Content that promotes hatred, violence, discrimination, or harm against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
Content that is threatening, abusive, defamatory, or obscene
Content that exploits, harms, or endangers minors in any way
Content that promotes terrorism, extremism, or radicalisation
Content that facilitates or promotes illegal activities
Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading content
Content that infringes upon the privacy or personal rights of others

2.4 Enforcement and Consequences

We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violations. If we determine a violation has occurred, we may:

Issue a warning to your account
Temporarily suspend your account and access to services
Permanently terminate your account without refund
Remove any content that violates these Terms
Report illegal activities to appropriate law enforcement authorities
Pursue legal action to recover any costs or damages

We may take these actions without prior notice where we reasonably believe there is an immediate risk of harm, illegal activity is occurring, there is a threat to service integrity, or action is required to comply with law.

2.5 Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of these Terms, please report it using the in-built support actions, or at [email protected].

3. Intellectual Property

3.1 Our Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our applications (including but not limited to software, code, text, displays, images, video, audio, design, logos, user interface, and the selection and arrangement thereof) are owned by Feedings LTD, its licensors, or other providers and are protected by United Kingdom and international intellectual property laws.

3.2 Trademarks

The following are trademarks or service marks of Feedings LTD:

"Ding!", "ShareDings!" and "ShareDing!"
"ShoutDing!" and "ShoutDings!"
"Influence"
"BenchCalc"
The Feedings logo and banner design

You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

3.3 Copyright Notice

Copyright © 2025 Feedings LTD. All rights reserved. No part of our applications, website, or materials may be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, displayed, published, or broadcast without our prior written permission, except as permitted by UK copyright law.

3.4 Licence to Use Our Service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and install our applications on your personal devices and use the service for your personal, non-commercial use.

This licence does not include any rights to resell or commercially use the service, make derivative works, use data mining tools, reverse engineer our software, or remove proprietary notices.

3.5 Copyright Infringement Claims

If you believe any content on our service infringes your copyright, contact us at [email protected] with a description of the copyrighted work, where the infringing material is located, your contact information, and a statement of good faith belief.

4. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend service for maintenance or updates. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted, that defects will be corrected, or that the service is free of viruses or harmful components.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Feedings LTD shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, or any damages exceeding the amount paid to us in the past 12 months.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Feedings LTD from any claims arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

8. Third-Party Services

Our applications integrate with third-party services (app stores, Firebase, AdMob, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

9. Data Protection

We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR requirements.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

Terms of Service — RSS Reader

These terms cover the RSS Reader app specifically. The General terms (acceptable use, IP, liability, governing law) also apply.

1. Description of Service

The RSS Reader is an RSS feed reader application available on iOS, Android, and Microsoft Store. It allows you to subscribe to RSS feeds, organise content, and share discoveries with others.

2. Account Types

Anonymous: No account required, full RSS features, ads with privacy choices, no backup
Free Account: Full features with account, ads with privacy choices, 1 backup per week, local storage only
Ad Free: £2.50/month — no ads, all Free Account features. Cancellable at any time.
Supporter: £5/month — no ads, auto-backup, cloud sync, enhanced features. Cancellable at any time.

You can upgrade or downgrade between subscription tiers at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings.

2.1 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, all activities under your account, and notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

3.1 Subscription Terms

Both paid tiers (Ad Free and Supporter) are:

Billed monthly through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
Automatically renewing unless cancelled
Cancellable at any time through your app store account settings
No automatic charges after cancellation
Cancellation takes effect at the end of current billing period

We never receive or store your payment card details — all payments are handled by Apple or Google.

3.2 Upgrading and Downgrading

You can switch between Ad Free and Supporter at any time through your app store settings.

Upgrades: Take effect immediately. You gain access to new features straight away.
Downgrades: Take effect immediately. On Android, remaining value converts to extra time on the lower plan. On iOS, the downgrade takes place at the next billing date.

3.3 Data Retention After Cancellation

After cancelling a paid subscription, your account reverts to the Free tier. Pro-tier data (cloud backups, sync data) is retained for 90 days then permanently deleted. If you resubscribe within 90 days, your data is restored.

3.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

3.5 Your Rights

Right to cancel at any time without penalty

Right to receive confirmation of cancellation
Right to continue using paid features until end of current billing period
Right to resubscribe at any time
No early termination fees

4. Advertising

The RSS Reader's free tiers (Anonymous and Free Account) are supported by advertisements. Ads are a choice — they fund free access to the app. If you prefer not to see ads, you can subscribe to either the Ad Free (£2.50/month) or Supporter (£5/month) tier to remove them entirely. Both are cancellable at any time with no penalty.

We use Google AdMob for ad delivery. Users in the EEA/UK/Switzerland are presented with consent choices. Users in applicable US states receive opt-out notices. You can reset your choices at any time in app settings. You are never required to interact with advertisements. See our Privacy Policy for full details on ad data collection.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of RSS feeds and content you add
You grant us a licence to store and sync your content across devices
You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to access content

5.1 User-Generated Content (Themes)

When you upload custom themes to the Community Theme Exchange, you retain ownership of your designs. You grant us a licence to display and distribute them within the service, and grant other users the right to use them within the app. We may remove themes that violate these Terms.

Terms of Service — BenchCalc

These terms cover BenchCalc specifically. The General terms (acceptable use, IP, liability, governing law) also apply.

1. Description of Service

BenchCalc is a laboratory calculator, bench guide, protocol, troubleshooting, and reference app for scientists at the bench. It provides 55 tools across 9 categories covering nucleic acids, protein, dilutions and molarity, buffers and solutions, cell and lab tools, PCR and cloning, sequence analysis, utilities, and the Bench Guide. It includes 7 interactive troubleshooting wizards. The Bench Guide includes 414 glossary terms with molecular structures, 91 educational entries, 20 lab safety guides, and 45 practical lab tips. It also includes 13 step-through lab protocols and 9 searchable reference tables. It works entirely offline.

2. Purchase

BenchCalc is a one-time purchase at £1.19. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no recurring charges of any kind.

Payment is processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
We never receive or store your payment card details
All future updates are included in the purchase price

3. Accounts

BenchCalc does not require or support user accounts. There is no sign-up, login, or registration.

4. No Advertisements

BenchCalc contains no advertisements of any kind.

5. Accuracy, Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

While we strive for accuracy in all calculators, protocols, and reference data, BenchCalc is provided strictly as a convenience and educational tool. It is not a substitute for professional scientific judgement, peer-reviewed literature, or validated laboratory software.

By using BenchCalc you acknowledge and agree that:

You are solely responsible for verifying all inputs you enter and all outputs the app produces before relying on them in any experiment, analysis, publication, clinical, diagnostic, or safety-critical context.
You must not assume that any calculation, conversion, reference value, protocol step, or other output is correct without independent verification.
All calculators, reference data, restriction enzyme databases, protocol steps, reagent information, and any other content within BenchCalc may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
Protocols are provided as general guidance only. Actual laboratory procedures may vary depending on your reagents, equipment, organisms, and institutional requirements.
Reference data (amino acid properties, restriction enzyme data, reagent information, codon tables, etc.) is compiled from publicly available sources and may not reflect the most current published values.
BenchCalc performs no validation of your inputs. If you enter incorrect values, the app will return incorrect results without warning.

Limitation of Liability:

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Feedings LTD, its directors, employees, and affiliates accept no liability whatsoever — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise — for any loss, damage, injury, cost, or expense of any kind arising from or connected with your use of BenchCalc.
This includes, without limitation, any loss or damage arising from errors in calculations, reference data, protocols, or any other output of the app, whether caused by software bugs, data inaccuracies, user error, or any other reason.
You expressly agree that no monetary compensation of any amount (£0 / $0 / €0) is owed or payable by Feedings LTD for any claim arising from your use of BenchCalc, including but not limited to failed experiments, wasted reagents, incorrect results, missed deadlines, lost data, or any consequential, incidental, special, or indirect damages.
If any jurisdiction does not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain liabilities, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, which in no event shall exceed the amount you paid for BenchCalc.

You use BenchCalc entirely at your own risk. If you are not willing to accept these terms, do not use the app.

6. Data

All data you enter into BenchCalc (calculations, favourites, preferences) is stored locally on your device only. We have no access to it. If you delete the app, all data is removed. There is no cloud backup or sync.

7. Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies.

Terms of Service — Influence

These terms cover the Influence app specifically. The General terms (acceptable use, IP, liability, governing law) also apply.

1. Description of Service

Influence is an AI-powered interactive fiction game. You shape stories through gameplay choices, influenced by collectable "Influencer" characters. Stories are generated in real time using AI.

2. Subscription Tiers

Dreamer (Free): 10 free games per month, ads with privacy choices, 1 active game, 5 cloud save slots, 1 character, 3 Influencer bag slots
Adventurer (£4.99/month): 10 free games + 35 charges, no ads, 2.5% lower charge cost, 2 active games, 10 cloud save slots, 2 characters, 5 bag slots
Worldshaper (£14.99/month): 10 free games + 125 charges, no ads, 5% lower charge cost, 3 active games, 25 cloud save slots, 2 characters, 5 bag slots
Mythmaker (£29.99/month): 10 free games + 250 charges, no ads, 10% lower charge cost, 5 active games, 50 cloud save slots, 3 characters, 8 bag slots

2.1 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, all activities under your account, and notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use.

3. Charges and In-App Purchases

"Charges" are the in-game currency used to start new games beyond the free allowance. Charges can be earned through subscriptions, purchased as one-time charge packs, or earned by watching optional reward ads (Dreamer tier only, up to 5 per day).

Charge packs are one-time purchases and are non-refundable once used. Unused charges do not expire. All payment processing is handled by Apple or Google — we never receive your payment card details.

4. Subscriptions

4.1 Subscription Terms

All paid tiers are:

Billed monthly through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
Automatically renewing unless cancelled
Cancellable at any time through your app store account settings
No automatic charges after cancellation
Cancellation takes effect at the end of current billing period

4.2 Upgrading and Downgrading

You can switch between tiers at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect immediately on Android (with remaining value converted to time on the new plan) or at the next billing date on iOS.

4.3 Data After Cancellation

After cancelling, your account reverts to the Dreamer (Free) tier. Pro-tier data (cloud saves beyond the free limit) is retained for 90 days then permanently deleted. If you resubscribe within 90 days, your data is restored.

4.4 Your Rights

5. Advertising

The Dreamer (Free) tier is supported by advertisements. Ads are a choice — they let you play for free. If you prefer not to see ads, any paid subscription removes them entirely. All subscriptions are cancellable at any time with no penalty.

Free tier users can also choose to watch optional reward ads to earn extra charges (up to 5 per day). This is entirely voluntary — you are never required to watch ads.

6. AI-Generated Content

Stories in Influence are generated by AI in real time based on your choices. AI-generated content may occasionally produce unexpected, inaccurate, or inconsistent results. We do not guarantee the quality, coherence, or appropriateness of every generated story segment.

We do not use your gameplay data or stories to train AI models. Story content is generated fresh each session.

7. Your Content

Stories you create through gameplay are yours. You grant us a licence to store and sync them across your devices. You may share stories using in-app sharing features. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
